Scorpio Season Cocktail: Black & BLue
We are all about cocktails here at Starlit, and each month we feature cocktails that are perfect for their season. For Scorpio Season, we wanted to honor the Scorpio comfort with darkness. Much can be hidden in the depths of a Scorpio, and if you are lucky and earn their trust, they just might let you in to experience it with them. This cocktail achieves its dark color and sweetness with a fruity blackberry and blueberry base and gets a tart kick from the lime juice. Vodka is the most well-hidden alcohol, which makes it perfect for this sign’s cocktail. Scorpios can also leave you black and blue if you get on their bad side, so we kinda loved the name!
Ingredients
6 fresh blackberries
6 fresh blueberries
2 oz vodka
1/2 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
1/2 oz simple syrup (or blackberry syrup! We used Liber & Co.)
Extra raspberries for garnish
Instructions
Muddle berries in the base of the glass.
Add all other ingredients then fill with crushed ice.
Stir!
Garnish with blackberries.
